NU Alumni Visit Shanghai

Carol first went to China because of Northwestern University which granted her a scholarship to study at Fudan University in 1981/82…the rest is history! Recently, a group of NU alumni visited Shanghai and asked Carol to give a speech and sign books for the group. In pithy and insightful narrative, Carol nails life as an ex-pat and reminds the reader to enjoy the ride. Her journey is both unusual and familiar; a delightful combination for those of us asking these same banal and age-old questions about the universe. I loved it!

What a great book. All expats in Asia should read The Last pluck, makes you realize as expats we are not all going nuts with this crazy life.
A must read.
